Fleshy and full-bodied, this wine is a true Old World classic. Showing a fine bouquet of crushed red fruit and leathery oak, the palate is marked by strong hints of deep black fruit and slightly spicy, oaky tannins. Firm and superbly balanced very refined, this one is a keeper. Cellar up to fifteen years.(December 2005)
